FBR issues notices to four companies for tax evasion

KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued notices to four companies in Site area for depositing less amount of taxes.

According to sources, the Regional Tax Office-II (RTO-II) sent notices to four companies, M/s Al Mukhtar Garments, M/s Wahid Hosiery, M/s Nauman Chemicals and M/s Shomile and Co for alleged tax evasion. The companies submitted their taxes on May 9 in which they showed less income as compared to the previous financial year.

The FBR secretly monitored the companies and found that the companies were making profit.  The RTO-II officials said that M/s Al Mukhtar Garments submitted Rs 80,000, Wahid Hosiery deposited Rs 96,000. M/s Nauman Chemicals and Merchants paid Rs 120,000 while Shomile and Co deposited Rs 56,300 in the wake of tax.

The FBR issued notice to the said companies and sought their sale record on June 6.
