Sources said that the FBR found some discrepancies in the tax returns submitted by the actresses and models. After detecting the tax evasion, the Regional Tax Office issued them notices for the payment of outstanding dues within seven days failing which stern action will be taken against them. The FBR sought details for the tax years 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016, sources told.

It is necessary to mention here that the FBR has already tightened its noose around tax evaders. The FBR is using all available resources to recover outstanding tax amount from tax defaulters to meet the assigned revenue collection target set for the fiscal year 2017-18.
