FBR issues notice to Wapda for payment of Rs 6 billion GST

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued notice to Wapda for non-payment of General Sales Tax (GST). The FBR has warned that accounts of Wapda will be seized if it fails to pay GST. Furthermore, if GST is not paid in time it could result in imposition of a fine.

According to the FBR sources, higher authorities of Wapda did not pay tax and take interest from banks for the same money. Wapda has to pay almost Rs 6 billion in terms of GST and FBR has issued Wapda second notice in this regard.
