FBR issues notices: LDA and Lahore TMOs defaulters of millions tax

LAHORE: Federal Board of Revenue has issued notices to Lahore Development Authority (LDA) and Tehsil Municipal Offices (TMOs) of Lahore to pay withholding tax on sale of property.

Sources informed Customs Today that FBR has issued reminder notices to the departments of government to pay the taxes adding that FBR did not treat the governmental departments as special because tax defaulters were equal for law.

Lahore Development Authority generates revenue by selling the residential and commercial plots in Lahore city through auction and it has also launched housing society.

Notices also issued to TMOs of Lahore to pay taxes. According to details, TMO Data Gunj Bakhsh is defaulter of Rs 5.3million, TMO Ravi town is defaulter of Rs 10 million and TMO Allama Iqbal is also defaulter of WHT.
