FBR issues notices to 56 officers of Excise and Taxation Dept

LAHORE: The Regional Tax Office (RTO) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has sent notices to 56 officers of the Excise and Taxation Department to file their tax returns and details of assets within one week.

Sources told Customs Today that the excise and taxation officers had failed to submit their tax returns for the year 2014, 2015 and 2016.

Additional Director General Masoodul Haq, Director Muhammad Iqbal Nasir, Director Adeel Bajwa,  Assistant Director Naveed Ahmed, Assistant Director Muhammad Asim Amin and Aslam Sukhaira, excise and taxation officers Sobia Malik, Javaid Anjum, Muhammad Arif; Superintendent Muhammad Munawar and DBA Imran Nazeer, Faisal Gulzar and others are among those who were issued the tax notices.

The RTO granted one week to the all officers to submit their replies. If any officer fails to comply with the notice the FBR will take action against him according the law. Sources further said that the FBR has started action against the tax defaulters all over Pakistan.
