ISLAMABAD: The Taxpayer Profile and Registration (TPS) Wing of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has launched a Taxpayer Awareness Campaign at NIPA Islamabad to promote tax literacy, encourage voluntary tax compliance, and improve public understanding of Pakistan’s tax system.

The initiative aims to educate taxpayers about registration procedures, tax return filing requirements, and the advantages of becoming active contributors to the national economy through compliance with tax laws.

As part of the campaign, the FBR is organizing interactive sessions, guidance desks, and information-sharing activities to help participants better understand key areas such as income tax registration, benefits of inclusion in the Active Taxpayer List (ATL), digital tax filing through the IRIS portal, and recent tax policy developments.

According to the FBR, the awareness drive is intended to strengthen trust between taxpayers and tax authorities while promoting transparency and responsible tax compliance across the country.

Officials said the campaign will provide practical guidance to individuals and businesses seeking to fulfill their tax obligations and benefit from the incentives available to compliant taxpayers.

The FBR has encouraged officers, stakeholders, and members of the public to actively participate in the initiative, describing it as an important step toward expanding the documented economy and supporting Pakistan’s economic development.

The campaign reflects the tax authority’s broader efforts to increase taxpayer facilitation, improve registration levels, and build a culture of voluntary compliance across the country.
