ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Nisar Muhammad Khan has said that the Sales Tax Electronic System is being made more active to help achieve revenue target of Rs 3621 billion set for the current financial year.
The FBR chief, in an interview, said important changes are being made in the sales tax system and scrutiny of invoices will be carried out through electronic system.
Nisar Khan pointed out that International Monetary Fund has appreciated the Board for surpassing the revenue target of the last financial year. He said Rs 3114 billion revenue were collected during the last fiscal year which is all time high.
