FBR Member Dr Irshad launches ‘Health Insurance Scheme’ for IRS officials

KARACHI: Member-IR (Operations) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Dr Muhammad Irshad has launched “Health Insurance Scheme” for the officials of the Inland Revenue Services (IRS).

Addressing the auspicious ceremony at Income Tax House, Dr Irshad said that the “Health Insurance Scheme” will be implemented from July 1, 2016 adding that the officials of the department would take benefit from the scheme.

On the occasion, the Member-IR (Operations) said that it was a matter of pride for him as well as for the employees of the department.

Dr Irshad further said that the families of the officials would also take benefit from the scheme.

He said that it was dream for the officials which has come true after a long time. The Member-IR (Operations) informed the audience that the FBR authorities concerned have taken assistance of a private insurance company in this regard.

Dr Irshad said that the FBR is also making arrangements to announce rewards for the IRS officials on the basis of their performance.
