FBR Member Dr Irshad to preside over seminar on ‘Sales Tax Act-1990’ on August 17

KARACHI: The CPE Committee of Karachi Tax Bar Association (KTBA) is going to organize a seminar on “Sales Tax Act-1990” on Wednesday (August-17).

According to details, the seminar would be held at 11th floor in auditorium in the building of Regional Tax Office. Member-Inland Revenue (Operation) Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Dr Muhammad Irshad would participate in the seminar as the chief guest.

While, Abdul Hameed Memon Chief Automation and Sales Taxes-FBR would participate as a guest of honour.

Both the FBR officers would also address the participants on Sales Tax Act-1990 adding that the office-bearers of KTBA would also deliver address on the occasion.

The KTBA office-bearer Asif Haroon, a chartered accountant and former general secretary-KTBA Zeeshan Merchant would also deliver addresses on important changes in Sales Tax Act-1990.

It is pertinent to mention here that the “Sales Tax Act” seminar was scheduled on 9th of August but later it was postponed due to the Quetta blast tragedy.
