Dr Irshad reviews measures to broaden tax base by RTO-II

LAHORE: FBR Member IR Operations Dr Muhammad Irshad visited Regional Tax Office-II (RTO-II) Lahore and held a meeting with the Chief Commissioner RTO-II Khawaja Adnan Zaheer and all officials of the field formations.

According to the details, during the meeting, which lasted after two hours, the participants reviewed all the measures being taken by Regional Tax Office in collection of revenue.

Commissioner Dr Ghulam Mujtaba Bhatti briefed Member Operations Dr. Irshad regarding measures being taken to broaden tax base (BTB) i.e. information sharing with withholding agents and different government departments and other important steps taken by RTO.

After the meeting FBR Member Operations appreciated the efforts of efforts of Chief Commissioner Khawaja Adnan Zaheer for implementing the agenda of restructuring of territorial jurisdiction of Lahore division.

He also lauded the performance of Assistant Commissioner Inland Revenue Dr Zainul Abideen and Malik Samilullah who are performing their duties in the districts of Nankana Sahib and Shiekhupura respectively.

Overall Dr Irshad hailed the performance of Chief Commissioner Khawaja Adnan Zaheer and his team and appreciated their performance after separation of corporate and non corporate taxpayers.

In the meeting Chief Commissioner Khawaja Adnan Zaheer briefed the participants about the working of the Regional Tax Office-II and tax collection procedure.
