ISLAMABAD: Director-General Intelligence and Investigations Imtiaz Ahmad Khan is going to retire from service on October 5.

Sources told Customs Today that preparations are underway to hold a farewell party in honour of outgoing director general. There are several candidates who are capable to resume charge as director general Intelligence and Investigations but there are strong chances that Shaukat Ali, who is performing his duties as Member Legal Federal Board of Revenue, may be appointed as director general Customs Intelligence and Investigations. He belongs to BS-21 grade. Sources said that another strong candidate for the slot of DG I&I is Zeba Hai Azhar who is currently completing a Senior Management Course  (SMG). She is also capable of assuming the charge as DG I&I.
