FBR Member Operations Dr Irshad visits RTO-II to review measures to meet revenue collection target

LAHORE: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Member Operations Dr Irshad has visited the Regional Tax Office-II (RTO-II) and held a meeting to discuss the strategy to enhance tax base by separating corporate and non corporate taxpayers.

According to details, Member Operations Dr Irshad spent a busy day in Regional Tax Office-II (RTO-II) and reviewed measures to meet financial target set for the fiscal year 2016-17.

Dr Irshad lauded the performance of of Regional Tax Office-II officials and staff regarding tax collection for the financial year 2015-16. He advised them to work with same spirit and devotion during the current fiscal year. Dr. Irshad said that strong economy is essential for progress and prosperity of our country. He said it is our national duty to pay taxes according to laws.

He briefed the commissioner of Regional Tax Office-II regarding implementations of new jurisdictions and separations of taxpayers. Member FBR also directed RTO-II officials to use all available resources to expand tax net in the provincial metropolis. He said that due to our tireless efforts FBR successfully meet the revenue collection target of previous year.

During the meeting the Chief Commissioner Regional Tax Office-II Khawaja Adnan Zaheer, Additional Commissioner Headquarters, Deputy Commissioner Headquarter Azhar Jahangir, Akber Mayo and officials were present.

After the meeting all officials and staff facilitated Member Dr. Mohammad Irshad on his promotion in BS-22.
