KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will have to collect Rs 16.5 trillion in six months of current fiscal year. The target to collect tax was Rs 28.10 trillion. The FBR has received Rs 11.62 trillion and Rs 16.40 trillion are pending. As many as Rs 4.62 trillion were received from July-December 2014 under the head of direct taxes, Rs 5.35 trillion for sales tax and Rs 71 billion for federal excise duty.
