FBR notifies property valuation rates for 13 more cities

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue [FBR] has notified new property valuation rates for 13 more cities, providing a new base for the collection of withholding and capital gains tax.

It notified rates for Lahore, Multan, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Mardan, Abbottabad, Peshawar, Quetta and Gwadar.

The valuations were agreed during a meeting between FBR and real estate representatives under the chairmanship of Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar. The authorities chose 21 cities for determining fresh property valuation rates. The rates of the remaining five cities are expected to be notified in the next few days.
