ISLAMABAD: With the aim to achieve the budgetary targets, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has barred the officers from going abroad till June 30.
According to an official statement, the country’s top revenue authority has directed the respective heads of field formations not to forward leave applications to it for going abroad till the mentioned date.
“All such cases will be processed in the beginning of the next financial year,” it said, adding that it has been observed with concern that the field formations of FBR are forwarding requests for grant of ex-Pakistan leave on daily basis despite the fact that the third quarter of the current financial year is coming to an end and the entire tax machinery is required to accelerate its efforts to achieve the budgetary targets.
