LAHORE: Federal Minister for Climate Change Zahid Hamid has said that Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has around 259 officials of BPS-20 and above and all are paying income tax regularly.
He said the FBR would take strict action against those employees, who would be found not paying income tax. He said that the government was taking various measures to expand the existing tax net.
He said that due to incentives announced by the government, the number of tax payers had increased during the current year as compared to last year.
The minister also informed that country’s total domestic banks and non-banks loan stood at Rs 2,796.1 billion. He said that loan had been taken from State Bank of Pakistan, commercial banks and national savings schemes.
