FBR prepares list of 2000 taxpayers having luxurious life

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) prepared the list of 2,000 taxpayers having luxurious life. The list included cricketers, bureaucrats, Industrialists and politicians.

Official sources told Customs Today that on the special directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan the board has prepared list of 2,000 taxpayers by evaluating the tax returns, which will be further moved to prime minister after the approval of Chairman FBR Jahanzeb Khan, sources confirmed.

The list included Federal Minister Faisal Vawda, Senator Azam Sawati, former president Asif Ali Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Hamza Shahbaz, ex cricketers, Shahid Afridi, Moen Khan and others whose luxurious lifestyle does not match with their submitted tax returns to the board.

Sources added that the list is being finalized and will be approved by the chairman of FBR and then will be presented to Prime Minister Imran Khan, however, the board will also issue notices to these taxpayers to ask them regarding the luxurious lifestyle and their sources of income and will also direct them to pay their due taxes.
