FBR Q1 revenue up 12 percent

ISLAMABAD: The FBR has collected Rs 89 billion revenue in the Q1 of the current fiscal year in addition to the revenue generated in the same period of previous fiscal year.

The FBR collected Rs 188 billion in October. During the Q1 of the previous fiscal year it had gathered Rs 160 billion.

The FBR has collected Rs 750 billion revenue in the first quarter of the current. During the Q1 of last fiscal year it had collected Rs 661 billion.

The FBR high-ups said they had expected to collect Rs 182 billion to Rs 184 billion in October. However, the FBR collected Rs 4 billion more. The Rs 188 billion revenue also included Rs 8 billion rebate/fund.

During the Q1 of the previous fiscal year Rs 4 billion rebate/refund was given. The FBR has collected Rs 721 billion net revenue and during the same period of previous fiscal Rs 637 were collected.
