Addressing the participants FBR Member IT made clear to the participants that September 30 would be the last date for filing of returns with no extension like last years.

He said the IT department has uploaded return forms from 19th of August and no excuse would be entertained after September 30.  According to him, the Board has received 1000 returns so far against only six returns during the corresponding period due to the non-unavailability of e-forms for returns.

He said not a single complaint has been received by the Board on the IRIS system and all the 57 virtual machines are linked up and functioning properly. If there is any problem, it may be at the local level, he added.

Later on a representative from the FBR made a detailed presentation on the IRIS system page by page. He highlighted salient features of the website one by one. Queries were also received from the participants at the end of the presentation.
