ISLAMABAD: A huge number of new non-taxpayers filed their returns during the current fiscal year (2016-17).
Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) received record 163,434 new tax returns in nine months and 24 days of the corresponding fiscal year. The FBR has received total 1,120,164 tax returns during July 1, 2016 to April 24, 2017, while 956,730 people filed their returns during the same period of previous financial year (2015-16).
