LAHORE: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Regional Tax Office-II has recovered tax amounting to Rs 2.5 million from a chemical company.
The chemical company had not paid tax for months despite several reminders through notices.
The authorities took action against the tax defaulter company and seized two of its vehicles. Later, a representative of the company reached the tax office to get the confiscated vehicles that were handed over to the company after receiving the due taxes, sources informed.
An official said that tax defaulters were given much time to pay their taxes, and that even notices were issued repeatedly. “Now, the FBR has started action against defaulters and no relaxation will be given to them,” he said.
