FBR freezes bank accounts of Adeel Textile, recovers Rs 3.5 million tax

KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has recovered Rs 3.5 million from Adeel Textile (Private) Limited after freezing its bank accounts.

Assistant Commissioner Inland Revenue RTO-I Mukhtar Chandio informed Customs Today that the FBR will take stern action against all those companies which are avoiding to pay their taxes. He said that Adeel Textile has been tax defaulter of Rs 3.5 million for the last two year. The FBR issued it many notices but it failed to pay the dues

As a last resort, the FBR froze the bank accounts of the company and recovered all the tax. He also disclosed that the FBR would take the same action against three other companies, one in Hyderabad and two in Karachi, this week.

He said that Rs 6 million were still pending against the companies and the FBR will recover the money by freezing their bank accounts.
