FBR recovers Rs 4.7m from bank accounts of Ali Kasuri, Qasim Kasuri

LAHORE: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has frozen the bank accounts of Ali Kasuri and Qasim Kasuri, the sons of renowned politician and lawyer Khursheed Memood Kasuri, for tax evasion.

Sources told Customs Today that Rs 3 million were recovered from the bank accounts of Ali Mehmood Kasuri, while Rs 1.7 million were recovered from bank accounts of Qasim Kasuri. Sources said that the FBR has recovered the money from Allied Bank of Pakistan Bridge Colony Branch.

Sources said that the FBR issued many reminders to both persons to clear their pending tax amount but they failed to deposit tax. After their failure, the FBR froze the bank accounts of Ali Kasuri and Qasim Kasuri, and recovered the money.
