LAHORE: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Regional Tax Office (RTO) Lahore on Friday recovered Rs 40 million sale tax for the tax year 2014 from Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) bank accounts attachments.
Sources told Customs Today that the company was to pay sales tax of 1.70 billion taxes as total tax liability for the tax year. The FBR, RTO on the instructions of Commissioner Nadeem Rizvi seized bank accounts of the company in four banks and recovered Rs 5.6 million from National Bank Wapda House branch, Rs 3.3 million from UBL, Rs 33.2 million from Bank of Punjab Queens Road branches.
The sources told Customs Today that the FBR authorities were tracing other accounts of LESCO to recover the remaining tax liability.
