FBR recovers Rs 5.6m from M/s Alhamra Garments, M/s Qayyum Fabrics

KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has recovered Rs 5.6 million in the wake of sales tax from two private companies.

As per details, Regional Tax Office-III (RTO-III) Additional Commissioner Inland Revenue Mustafa Jatoi informed that two private companies including, M/s Alhamra Garments and M/s Qayyum Fabrics and Export deposited the said amount in the wake of sales tax. The RTO-III issued notices to the companies 20 days ago and they submitted their taxes. He further said that M/s Alhamr submitted Rs 2.7 million while M/s Qayyum Fabrics deposited Rs 2.9 million as tax.

Mustafa Jatoi also mentioned that the department sent reminder notices to many defaulters but they remained failed to deposit their taxes while few of them submitted their taxes before the end of the fiscal year.
