FBR recovers Rs 50m from bank accounts of Rehman Industry

LAHORE: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has recovered Rs 50 million after freezing bank accounts of Rehman Industries. The company was allegedly involved in sales tax evasion.

According to sources of Customs Today, Rehman Dairy Industry was showing very less amount of income and sales in their statements. After examining its sales record and bank statements, the Regional Tax Office-I decided to take action against the company.

Sources further said that Regional Tax Office-I Lahore sent many notices to the company, asking it to clear all the outstanding dues and to show actual amount of sales, but the company did not pay attention to these notices and even not replied to any notice.

Now the RTO recovered Rs 50 million after freezing the bank accounts of the company . A team under the supervision and directions of Sadia Sadaf Gillani took action against the company.
