LAHORE: The Corporate Regional Tax Office has recovered Rs 1 billion from M/s Central Power Purchase Agency Guarantee Limited after attaching its bank accounts.
Sources told Customs Today that during scrutiny of tax statements submitted by M/s Central Power Purchase Limited it was revealed that the company evaded duties and taxes under different heads.
Sources told that FBR sent many reminders to the above mentioned company asking them to clear the outstanding tax amount on priority basis but the company failed to clear the amount.
Yesterday Federal Board of Revenue decided to freeze the 15 bank accounts of the company in Islamabad and recovered Rs 1 billion.
It is necessary to mention here that as the current Fiscal Year is going to end soon. FBR is using all available legal resources to recover outstanding amount from the defaulters.
