FBR recovers Rs5.9m tax from bank account of Jahangeer Tareen’s son

LAHORE: The Federal Board of Revenue has recovered Rs05.9million from the bank account of Ali Tareen son of Pakistan Tehreeke-Insaf General Secretary Jahangeer Tareen.

According to sources of Customs Today, the Federal Board of Revenue on Wednesday conducted an action against corporate tax defaulter Ali Tareen and recovered Rs05.9million in the wake of income support levy. Ali Tareen has been defaulter of this tax since Fiscal Year 2013.

Meanwhile in another action, the Federal Board of Revenue has attached the bank account of a citizen named Farzand Ali and has also recovered Rs350000. His bank account at the MCB, Kareem Block, was attached for this purpose. Ali has also been income tax defaulter and not paying any tax even he was earning millions of rupees.

Inspector Waqar Haider and Muhammad Akram Haider conducted the said action against Farzand Ali. Sources said he has different kinds of businesses but not even registered for income tax.

Meanwhile, the Federal Board of Revenue has issued a final warning notice to famous model and actress Noor Bukhari for not filing her tax-returns. The Federal Board of Revenue has issued the notice to famous model actress and TV host Noor Bukhari for defaulting Rs01.4million tax.

She has turned out to be a tax-defaulter and has not filed her tax-returns for three consecutive years 2014, 15 and 16. The FBR demanded her to document her assets and income tax returns.

Additional Commissioner Naeem Babar has issued the notice to Noor Bukhari on Tuesday.
