ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has reduced sales tax rates of petrol and high speed diesel (HSD) with effect from June 1.
The FBR issued SRO 408(I)/2017 the sales tax of motor spirit excluding HOBC and HSD has been reduced to 19.5 percent from existing 20 percent. However, sales tax on HSD has been increased to 34.5 percent from existing 33.5 percent.
The sales tax on kerosene oil and light diesel oil has been maintained at zero percent.
