KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has rejected a new audit draft for taxpayers which was submitted by Audit department. The new audit policy will be implemented for the period between 2015 and 2019.
The FBR has asked the Audit Department to amend the draft of audit policy and submit it in the next seven days.
Sources told Customs Today that in the new audit draft, ballot system will be introduced for the audit of taxpayers instead of parameters. This decision was taken during a high level meeting which was presided over by FBR Chairman Tariq Bajwa. During the meeting, a detailed presentation was given on the new audit policy. After the presentation, the participants rejected its draft and suggest some amendments in it.
