FBR requested to assign five customs officers at PCA HQ

ISLAMABAD: The Directorate General Post Clearance Audit Headquarters Islamabad has requested the Member, Federal Board of Revenue, Zahid Khokhar for posting at least five experienced customs officials at the PCA Headquarters for handling the prosecution cases.

Due to acute shortage of staff at the PCA, the Directorate General is unable to prosecute the cases in the customs special court. According to sources, a letter has been written to the Board on behalf of Director General PCA Sumara Nazir. Director Dr. Kamal Azhar Minhas has requested the Member Customs FBR Zahid Khokhar that Director General has lodged seven FIRs against several importers which necessitate immediate posting of adequate human resource in terms of number, Knowledge and skill.
