FBR seals houses of film stars Noor, Saba Qamar over tax evasion

LAHORE: Film stars Noor and Saba Qamar have been found out to be tax evaders, sources told Customs Today on Thursday night .

Sources told that the Federal Board of Revenue has also sealed the houses of the two actresses because of tax evasion. The FBR stated that Noor has defaulted on tax worth Rs1.5 million, while Saba Qamar has defaulted on tax worth Rs3.4 million.

According to the FBR sources, many notices were sent to the two actresses but upon no response, it took the decision of sealing their respective houses.

Saba Qamar was last seen in critically-acclaimed Bollywood movie Hindi Medium. She starred opposite Irrfan Khan in the movie.

It is necessary to mention here that FBR taking all measures to recover outstanding tax amount from tax evaders specially from those who are avoiding to pay tax willfully.
