ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has directed all relevant officials to submit data on government employees by October 27, along with details of quotas for women, minorities and persons with disabilities.

According to an FBR circular, the board has sought official employee records as of July 1, 2026, and set October 27 as the deadline for submitting the required information.

The data must include the number and positions of women recruited on merit, along with details of the 10 per cent quota reserved for women.

The FBR has also requested details of the five per cent quota for minorities, including sanctioned, filled and vacant posts. Officials have further been directed to provide records relating to the two per cent quota for persons with disabilities.

The circular described the matter as extremely urgent and also sought details of vacant posts reserved for Sindh under the provincial quota in the federal secretariat.

Separately, the FBR has requested records of Sindh’s urban and rural quotas, expressing concern over a delay of more than four months. According to the notice, the required records had not been submitted despite several reminders.

The FBR has issued an immediate directive to the Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue in Karachi, instructing Corporate Tax Office-I Karachi to provide the required information by October 23.

The records of vacant posts will subsequently be forwarded to the Establishment Division.

The FBR has directed officials to submit a report even if the requested information is unavailable.
