KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is holding 106rd National Management Course (NMC) at National Management College, Lahore.

The FBR has written a letter for the nomination of the officers of grade 20 and in this regard the officers who are working in grade 20 have been also asked to give their consent before their names be forwarded to the Establishment Division.

It may be mentioned here that for promotions in grade 21 the completion of NMC is a mandatory requirement and those officers who are in pipeline for the promotions have been asked to give their consent.

Experts in the field have suggested that instead of taking consent, the FBR should directly ask these officers according to their seniority list, with a view to enabling others to enjoy their posting on important seats.

Even in the current situation, many recently promoted officers are still working in their Own Pay Scale (OPS) and awaiting their postings according to their qualifications.
