FBR seeks salary & tax record of all banks employees

LAHORE: The Federal Board of Revenue has written a letter to the heads of all the banks in Pakistan to provide the salary and tax record of the employees.

Meanwhile, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has frozen the accounts of a citizen Samina Anjum and has recovered Rs380000 as income tax. The FBR has taken this action after freezing her bank account in the Bank of Punjab Gullberg Branch.

The FBR is taking strict action against defaulters these days. During an operation today, it has frozen the accounts of another citizen. In another action on Tuesday, the FBR has attached the bank account of a citizen Usman Ahmad and has also recovered Rs350000. His bank account in MCB Kareem Block was attached for this purpose. He was also an income tax defaulter and was not paying any tax, although he was earning millions of rupees.

Inspectors Waqar Haider and Muhammad Akram Haider executed this action against Farzand Ali. Sources said he has different kinds of businesses but is not even registered for income tax.
