ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has selected different companies for audit of tax year 2014 by using computerized balloting system.
Sources told Customs Today that five sugar mills are selected for audit including JDW Sugar Mill of Jahangir Tareen, Alnoor Sugar Mill, Thal Industries Corporation Limited, Ittehad Sugar Mill and Indus Sugar Mill.
According to sources, the FBR will also conduct audit of 10 big beverages companies, including Punjab Beverages Company, Margal Food and Beverages, Save Way Food and Beverages and Nadeem & Nisar Beverages for the audit of tax year 2014.
The FBR also selected seven fashion designers for audit including Raja Shakir Laiqat, Malka Ambareen, Adeel, Imran Qadeer, Samina Tariq, Saira Mehmood and Aziza fashion designers.
The sources told Customs Today that the FBR has started a computerised generated balloting system for the selection of audit of different companies.
