FBR sends notices to 3 factories allegedly involved in tax evasion

KARACHI: The Regional Tax Office-III of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued tax notices to three factories which are allegedly involved in tax evasion.

Talking to Customs Today, Additional Commissioner Regional Tax Office-III Ghulam Khan said that these companies include Al Masood Textile, Meerani and Company and Suleman Fabrics. He said all these companies are located in Gul Bai area of Karachi. He said that now the RTO-III issued them final notice for clearance of outstanding tax amounts as early as possible to avoid any legal action.

He said that the companies will be blacklisted if they failed to clear dues until January 28, 2016.

He said that Al Masood Textile is defaulter of Rs 445,000, while Meerani Textile is defaulter of Rs 276,000 and Suleman Fabrics is avoiding to pay Rs 300,0000. He said we are issuing notices to all defaulters to achieve our revenue target set for Fiscal Year 2015-16.
