KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has dispatched final notices to 1178 sales tax defaulters. All these sales tax defaulters are given grace period to clear their outstanding dues until August 27 to avoid legal proceedings against them.
They are already informed through notices that if they failed to deposit sales tax then their sales tax registration will be suspended and they will be black-listed.
It is pertinent to mention here that FBR introduced a new mechanism to make it sure that those who are not paying sales tax will be dealt with iron hands . Now they are given time till August 26 to clear their dues to avoid strict action.
