FBR sends notice to stage actress Nida Chaudhary

LAHORE: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) detected secret bank account of renowned stage actress Nida Chaudhary and issued her notice.

Sources told Customs Today, that FBR directed stage actress to clear the outstanding amount of taxes and duties amounting to Rs73,68,575. Sources told that Nida Chaudhary failed to provide her income details from 2015. FBR recovery team detected the secret account of the actress which she operates from Doctors Hospital. The FBR team also noticed that actress already have Rs2 million in her secret bank account.

Now Federal Board of Revenue issued Nida Chaudhary final notice to clear the outstanding amount of taxes and duties at the earliest to avoid stern action. Sources told that if Nida Chaudhary will not clear the pending amount of arrears, FBR will attach her bank accounts and also seal the moveable and immoveable property belonged to her to recover the outstanding amount of taxes.

It is necessary to mention here that FBR already tightened its noose around tax defaulters and they are using all legal resources to recover the outstanding amount from tax defaulters. FBR is quite optimistic that they will achieve the revenue collection target set for Fiscal Year 2017-18.
