FBR issues income tax notice to 14 doctors

LAHORE: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued income tax notices to 14 doctors of Hameed Latif and Doctors Hospital doctors.

Sources told Customs Today that Regional Tax Office-II of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) issued income tax notices to the 14 doctors because all fourteen doctors not filed the income tax returns for the tax year 2014-15. FBR has sent notices under the section 114 (C) of the Income Tax Ordinance 2001.

The tax notices were issued to the Dr. Hafeezur Reham, Dr. Saif Ullah, Dr. Fatima Khalid, Dr. Safwan Ahmed, Dr. Rabia Afzal Malik, Dr. Zain Mehmood, and Dr. Adnan Sami of Doctors Hospital.

Similarly, FBR also issued income tax notices to the doctors of Hameed Latif Hospital namely Dr Kashif Sultan, Dr Mansoor Ur Rehman, Dr Zeeshan Munir, Dr Shadab Masood, Dr Najma Akhter, Dr Naseem and Dr Zarfishan Akhter.

Tax notices are issued after the assessment of their income. During scrutiny of documents, the department found negligence from the above said tax payers. Tax department also sent instructions to file their tax returns as soon as possible.
