FBR serves final notices on actress Noor, Richal Khan

LAHORE: The Federal Board of Revenue has issued a final warning notice to a famous model and actress for not filing her tax-returns.

The FBR has served the notice on TV host Noor Bukhari in Rs1.4million tax default. She has turned out to be a tax-defaulter and has not filed her tax-returns for three consecutive years 2014,15 and 16. The FBR has asked her to pay her due tax within 15 days. In case of failure of payment of income tax, her properties and bank accounts may be attached to deduct the due amount of tax.

Additional Commissioner Naeem Babar has served the notice on Noor Bukhari on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, FBR has also issued final notice to Richal Khan for not filing her tax-returns and income statements.

She was issued with a notice for not filing her tax returns for the year 2015-2016 and failed to file her tax returns for the year 2016. Now the FBR has served on them final notices after which FBR may take strict action against them and their bank accounts may be frozen as well.

In another action, FBR has attached the bank accounts of Albro Pharmaceutical Private Limited and deducted an amount of Rs440000. Albro pharmaceutical company was defaulter of Rs4.00million for the year 2015. The FBR has taken this action on the direction of Assistant Commissioner Ijaz Usman Rathor. The recovery was made from bank Al Habib, Kot Lakhpat Branch Lahore.

The FBR is expected to take further action against Albro Pharmaceutical if it fails to clear its due taxes.
