FBR serves notice on official on misconduct

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue has issued a final show cause notice to Lahore Regional Tax Office (RTO) Deputy Commissioner Naeem Abbas (IR /BS 18) on misconduct.

According to the details, FBR has served notice on Naeem Abbas under the Rule 3 (b) of the Government Servant (Efficiency and Discipline) Rules 1973.

The notice further stated that FBR has decided under Rule 5(1) (iii) of the Government Servant (Efficiency and Discipline) Rules 1973 that it is not necessary to conduct an inquiry.

Moreover, the final show cause notice added that “you [Naeem Abbas] are given a final opportunity to submit your defence if any, within 14 days of this notice, while in the case of non-compliance it shall be presumed that you have nothing to offer in your defence and major penalty of dismissal from services under the government servant (Efficiency and Discipline) Rules 1973 shall be imposed upon you.”
