FBR sets revenue collection target for Appraisement East, West during FY2016-17

KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has setup revenue collection targets for the field formation Collectorates, including Customs Appraisement Westn and East during the fiscal year 2016-17.

The FBR has set a revenue target of Rs 678 billion altogether for the field formation Collectorates Appraisement East and West in terms of customs duty (CD), sales tax (ST), income tax (IT) and withholding tax (WHT).

As per details, the FBR has set a revenue target of Rs 324 billion for Appraisement-West during the fiscal year 2016-17 in terms of CD, ST, IT and WHT.

Similarly, the FBR has also set a revenue target of Rs 354 billion for Customs Appraisement-East during the current fiscal year in terms of CD, ST, IT and WHT.

Sources informed Customs Today that the FBR has not yet released the revenue target for the Customs Collectorate Port Muhammad Bin Qasim during the FY2016-17, adding that the revenue target for the Collectorate would be released by the end of first quarters of the FY2016-17.

The sources further said that the FBR authorities after releasing the revenue target figures to the Appraisement West and Appraisement East have also asked the authorities of both of the Collectorates to ensure achievement of the revenue target throughout the FY2016-17.
