FBR sets up 200 centres to facilitate taxpayers

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue has established 200 tax facilitation kiosks to facilitate the business community in filing of income tax returns.
The centres have been established at important business centres, shopping malls, offices of traders’ associations and chambers of commerce and industry, national and provincial assemblies buildings, federal secretariat, civil secretariats in all the provincial capitals, press clubs in Islamabad and in the four provincial capitals, offices of the big public sector enterprises, and important markets where maximum number of taxpayers can avail the facility.
Meanwhile, FBR spokesperson Shahid Husain Asad said that able officers had been deputed at these centres to guide and assist taxpayers in the filing of tax returns. The details of such centres with contact numbers are being displayed on the FBR website, he added.
He informed that these kiosks will remain open from Monday through Saturday, from 9am to 5pm on daily basis, and till 8pm on Sept 29 and 30.
He said that the prescribed return forms and wealth statement are available at these kiosks.
