LAHORE: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has started a registration cell in Regional Tax Office-II (RTO-II) to facilitate taxpayers, where taxpayers can register and get their National Tax Number (NTN) free of cost.
The FBR has also launched IRIS module for faster registration process of taxpayers. Individual or partnership registration can be made from home but in case of companies registration the taxpayer should have to visit FBR office along with original CNIC and for thumb impression.
According to the sources, before this new module tax payer registration was difficult as it takes one month or more but with the new system it is easy and taxpayers can get their registration number within three days.
