LAHORE: Federal Board of Revenue has started to monitor the paper mills strictly after receiving information about their alleged involvement in sales tax evasion.
Sources informed that Regional Tax office-II Lahore has found that paper manufacturing mills are concealing the facts about their sales and evading tax of millions of rupees causing loss to national exchequer.
Most of the paper manufacturing mills allegedly involved in tax evasion are located at Sheikhpura Road and GT Road Lahore.
Federal Board of Revenue will assess the electricity bills and stock of these companies to evaluate the sales tax.
