FBR starts work on establishment of CPEC Directorate in GB

ISLAMABAD: With the aim to enhance trade facilitation, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has started work on establishment of Directorate of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Transit Trade in Gilgit-Baltistan.

In this regard the FBR invited bids to purchase a plot measuring between 20 to 25 kanals of non-disputed / litigation-free land, adjacent to the main Karakoram Highway near Sakawar, Gilgit for establishing Directorate of CPEC Transit Trade in Gilgit-Baltistan and to enhance Customs trade facilitation in Gilgit-Baltistan.

The FBR said that the land should have access to utility services (water supply, electricity and telephone etc.) with a peripheral capacity of further extendable by 20 to 25 kanals for future expansion. The land must not be in the way of a drainage or catchment area.

The bidders are requested to submit their bids along with the following documents:

  1. i) Financial bid including all the applicable duties and taxes with complete detail of the type of tax and the rate applicable.
  2. ii) Attested copies of the CNIC and title deeds alongwith an affidavit on stamp paper of Rs 100/- that the land is free from all sort of litigations, disputes and encumbrances.

Bidding shall be conducted as per Single Stage Two Envelop procedure through National Competitive Bidding (NCB) under PPRA Rules 2004. The Technical and Financial Bids in two separately sealed envelops, should reach the office of the undersigned latest by October 4 at 11am.
