FBR take steps to stop tax evasion

KARACHI: Additional Commissioner Farooq Awan has said that Federal Board of Revenue FBR taking many measures to stop tax evasion. He said that purpose behind these measures are to stop tax evasion and push public to pay tax.

Talking to Customs Today said for this purpose we installed electrical monitoring system on different sales sectors. He said through electronic monitoring system we will able to monitor sales of cigrattes, beverages, cement, fertilizers. He said we will also monitor sales of hotels, because some hotels which are located at posh areas of Clifton and Sea View are found involved in tax evasion.

He said we will monitor customers ratio of these hotels and then assess its sales tax figures. He further revealed that we have already send notices to these restaurants and ask them to clear dues.
