FBR taking measures to use Urdu as official language

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has decided to take steps in order to use Urdu as the official language in its routine matters, while the FBR’s Board-in-Council has granted permission in this regard.

As per details, the FBR has assigned task to Member Facilitation and Taxpayer Education (FATE) Nadeem to present the suggestion and recommendations which would be helpful for the FBR to draw the rules and regulations regarding the use of the Urdu as the official language.

Official told that FBR will also develop its official website in Urdu language and give option of Urdu language to taxpayers while filing the tax returns along with English.

It is important to mention here that traders have been demanding of the tax forms in Urdu language since long and now after the FBR’s decision it is going to realise.
