FBR to achieve revenue target in current fiscal year

KARACHI: Assistant Commissioner Inland Revenue Abdul Rashid has said that Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will definitely achieve revenue target before the end of current fiscal year.

He said that authorities concerned of FBR already finalized a number of recommendations in this regard. They authorities concerned are optimistic that revenue target of Rs 405 billion rupees will be achieved. He further said that we have prepared a list of defaulters in May 2015 and already send notice to these defaulters in which we asked them to clear outstanding dues and deposit tax to avoid further legal action.

He said that after expiry of notice period authorities will start major crackdown against defaulters. After this period FBR will freeze their bank accounts and will collect the tax amount from their respective bank accounts. Abdul Rashid said that we are confident that we will achieve our financial target in the end of current month.
